Integrative Restoration Group Therapy in MMTP Patients
Synopsis:
Integrative Restoration (iRest) is a modern therapeutic intervention that draws on mindfulness and relaxation technologies. It has shown promise in the treatment of healthy, traumatized, and substance using populations, as well as mental health professionals, homeless shelter residents, and individuals with multiple sclerosis and cancer. The present study seeks to identify the effects of an iRest group intervention with methadone maintained patients at the Beth Israel Medical Center. Self report measures of wellness and dysfunction will be combined with urine toxicology screenings in an exploration of the efficacy of iRest in this population.
